We are proud to announce the installation of photovoltaic solar panels which now enable us to be 100% self-sufficient in electrical energy. This step forward is part of a global strategy to reduce our company's environmental impact.
The solar installation, completed in early 2024, covers not only the roof of the Erma Boécourt SA building, but also that of the neighboring company, Jura Sablage Sàrl. Thanks to the lease of this second roof, our family business has been able to extend its solar panel surface area, thus achieving energy self-sufficiency.

An impressive installation
The figures speak for themselves. The photovoltaic installation on the roof of Jura Sablage Sàrl covers an area of 1,880 m² and includes 1,032 solar panels, generating an annual output of 408,360 kWh. The roof of Erma Boécourt SA is equipped with 384 panels covering 750 m², producing 162,510 kWh per year.
Thanks to the combination of these two facilities, we can generate enough electricity to cover all our annual energy needs, estimated at around 480,000 kWh. This production of renewable energy enables us to meet the high electrical demand of our machines, while making our business and our sapphire lenses more environmentally friendly.
Offering sustainably manufactured components meets a growing demand for transparency and environmental responsibility, both within the watch industry and among consumers.
Green mobility
Following on from the installation of these panels, charging stations for electric vehicles have also been installed, supporting the transition to cleaner mobility.
